Vincent Van Duysen

Designed by the Antwerp-based Belgian architect and designer, the series is part of the Landmark project, Molteni&C's first outdoor collection. Sofas and armchairs, in natural teak, pay homage to a 1994 project signed by Luca Meda and now reinterpreted in a new key. The seats are distinguished by their rounded, cornerless shape, solid structure and sophisticated cabinetry details. What characterizes Palinfrasca is the design composed of wooden bands that generate an enveloping woven backrest. A reference to the craftsmanship of wicker baskets and the materials of the Mediterranean tradition.

The Fundació Mies van der Rohe has nominated the architecture of Winery VV by Vinetiq, a project we completed in early 2020 in Puurs, Belgium, for the first phase of its prestigious award. The prize is granted every two years to acknowledge and reward quality architectural production in Europe. The winners will be announced in April 2022.

On June 25th, 2020, the international Elle Decoration network has bestowed the Interior Designer of the Year award upon Vincent Van Duysen. EDIDA or “design Oscars” – as they’re nicknamed within the industry – have been presented to each winner during a digital ceremony broadcast live on Elle Decor Italia’s Instagram profile. The entire team at VVDA is very honored and proud of the accomplishment.
